Water Corporation Privacy Agreement
Thank you for your time in completing a Water Corporation Application form. Before continuing, please ensure that you read and understand the information below.
1. During the recruitment process, we will collect personal information about you which may include your contact details, referee details, work history, results of psychometric tests and police and health checks.
2. Your personal data and application information will be used only for purposes of hiring and employment. The information may be disclosed to parties involved in current or future hiring processes, including relevant Water Corporation staff and recruiters. Relevant information may also be disclosed to recruitment agencies and other third parties who are engaged to provide recruitment services on our behalf. Your information may also be disclosed where required by State or Federal law.
3. You agree to provide your personal data, which is in all respects true, accurate and up-to -date and is not, in any respect, misleading, deceptive or likely to be misleading or deceptive. In any event where the information within your application is false or misleading, pending investigation into the matter, your employment may be terminated.
4. The Water Corporation On-Line Recruitment site is managed and administrated on behalf of the Water Corporation by the Oracle Taleo Corporation. Our database will store your personal data and application information for a period up to 3 years. This will be stored confidentially on the Taleo recruitment system which is protected by Oracle security measures and held on servers in San Jose, California, (United States of America).
5. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your personal information, registration and password. You are responsible for all uses of your registration, whether or not authorised by you. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorised use of your registration or password.
6. Please be aware that registration on the Water Corporation On-Line Recruitment site does not guarantee employment with the Water Corporation. The Water Corporation gives no guarantee of the continued availability of any particular position advertised, and will not be held responsible should a position be filled at any time prior to the removal of an advertisement. You are required to keep your details and career history on the site up to date. The Water Corporation takes no responsibility for any incorrect or out of date information submitted by an applicant and may elect to archive applicant information after 6 months of continued non-use of the site.
7. In order to help the Water Corporation fulfil its obligations under Occupational Health and Safety legislation, you agree to fully disclose any disability, medical condition or injury which may affect your ability to perform the inherent requirements of this position, and/or require the Water Corporation to consider reasonable adjustments in the workplace, and/or pose a risk to your health and safety, and/or the health and safety of your fellow employees in the workplace. The Water Corporation may require you to undertake a company medical examination and drug screening to determine whether you are able to perform the inherent requirements of the position. In those circumstances, any offer of employment will be subject to you passing this examination.
8. The Water Corporation is required under law to check your visa status and right to work in Australia, with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. You may be required to produce documentary evidence accordingly.
Australian Citizens will be asked to supply one of the following documents:
- Birth Certificate; OR
- Australian passport photo page; OR
- Australian Citizenship Certificate.
Visa holders (including permanent residents) will be required to supply a copy of the following documents:
- The photo page of their passport; AND
- Current Australian visa which provides a right to work in Australia.
9. An offer of employment will not be deemed valid unless it is formally made in writing by an authorised officer of the Water Corporation. Such an offer will not be deemed to have been accepted until a written copy is signed by you and provided to the Water Corporation as confirmation of your acceptance of the offer and the conditions it contains.
10. This privacy statement is in addition to, and should be read in conjunction with, the
Water Corporation Privacy Policy. Please carefully read our Privacy Policy and if you accept then please select 'I Accept' below. Otherwise, please select 'I Decline' to cancel your application.
